Details have emerged that President Muhammadu Buhari will swear in Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria today.

The development is coming on the heels of the resignation by Justice Tanko Muhammed, who resigned his position as Chief Justice of Nigeria on the grounds of I’ll health.

Daily Report Nigeria earlier reported that Justice Ariwoola is currently the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court.

He will be sworn in by President Buhari, barring any last minute changes, sources within the presidency said.

Born August 22, 1958, Justice Ariwoola once served as a Justice of the Court of Appeal, before being elevated to the Supreme Court bench.
