Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide has reacted to the resignation of Justice Tanko Mohammed from his role as Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Daily Report Nigeria recalls that Justice Tanko resigned his position on Sunday night, citing health challenges as the reason for his decision.

Several reactions have trailed Justice Tanko’s resignation, and the revered Table Shaker also waded in his opinion.

In a tweet on Monday shortly after Justice Tanko resigned, Omokri alleged that the former Chief Justice of Nigeria had a plot and rigged elections.

Omokri particularly pointed out that the former CJN connived with President Buhari to rig the 2019 election to install Hope Uzodinma as elected Governor of Imo State.

Omokri further dragged the ailing Justice Tanko, saying he won’t be missed after his resignation as the CJN.

“CJN Tanko is a quota system product who should never have risen beyond an Alkali magistrate. Next to that legal titan, Uwais, he was a legal Lilliputian, used by Buhari to sustain his 2019 rigging and install Uzodinma. He won’t be missed. Good riddance to rubbish!” Omokri tweeted.

Meanwhile, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola of the Supreme Court is expected to be announced as acting Chief Justice of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Justice Ariwoola is the next most senior Justice of the apex court and would be sworn-in in no distant time.
