Following the announcement of the  Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, on the closure of registration of the “Batch C” of the N-Power programme, on August 9, it has disclosed that a total of 5,042,001 Nigerian youth applied as at the end of registration.

The federal government had earlier stated that it can only enroll about 400,000 beneficiaries in the Batch C scheme.

This implies that the total number of applied candidates exceed the available slots, which makes it imbalanced.

However, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has reassured Nigerians on the application of due diligence to ensure that only qualified candidates are enrolled into the scheme.

She also assured the applicants and the general public as they will be duly informed on the progress of the scheme.
