Bandits Kill Police Area Commander, One Other In Katsina
Bandits have killed the Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force in Katsina state.
According to the report, the late Assistant Commission of Police, ACP Aminu Umar Dayi led to one of the bandits’ hideouts in Safana forest, where he and one other police officer were overpowered by the bandits in the Dutsinma local government area of the state.
Daily Report Nigeria gathered that duo was overpowered by hoodlums in a fierce gun battle on Tuesday, where they lost their lives in the process.

Confirming the report, the spokesperson of the Katsina Command, SP Gambo said that the late commander and his team were ambushed by over 300 bandits who were riding on motorcycles, and armed with AK-47 rifles and General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG) while on clearance operation of recalcitrant bandits/terrorists, in Zakka forest in Safana LGA of Katsina State.

The commissioner of police has expressed his deep sympathy to the family of the deceased, while also reaffirming that the Nigerian police is working on the total eradication of terrorism in the state.
Late Aminu will be buried in his hometown, Dayi, Malumfashi, Katsina State on Wednesday, according to Islamic rights.
