Brother sets sister ablaze while trying to defend their mother who was hit in the face by the victim.

A Young lad identified as Chima has been taken custody by the Lagos state Police Command over the setting ablaze of his pregnant ablaze who allegedly disrespected their mother.

The victim simplified identified as Victoria was reported to be two months into pregnancy when the said incidence took place in their family resident, in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Chima out of anger tried to hit his sister, Victoria with a keg in the kitchen for slapping their mother.

Unknowingly to him, the keg had contents of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS otherwise known as petrol.

According to source, the family members were in the kitchen of their restaurant when the mother scolded Victoria for cohabitting with men.

An argument aroused thereafter, which led to Victoria raising her hands on her mother and inviting the wrath of her brother, Chima who grabbed a nearby keg to hit her with.

The content of the keg reportedly poured out with some of it touching Victoria and ignited fire, leading to her getting burnt.

She was initially taken to a nearby hospital on Kemberi Road, Okokomaiko,but was rejected and later referred to Alimosho General Hospital, Igando before she was confirmed dead.

Lagos state Police Spokesman, Bala Elkana, while confirming the incident, disclosed that Chima has been transferred to the Yaba section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, for further action.

Meanwhile, the police in Bauchi state paraded a 17-year-old teenager who stabbed her husband to death over marital obligations.

Salma Hassan who confessed of the heinous crime to Vanguard stated that she was unaware of sex being a obligation to her husband.

She reportedly stabbed her husband to death when he tried to force himself on her after she rejected his advances, thinking he was to defile her.
