Former Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, has reacted to the hike in fuel price by the Buhari led administration.

This is following a confirmation in the increment of fuel price contained in an internal memo issued by the Pipeline and Product Marketing Company.

While the pump price has been increased to N151.56 per litre, effective from Wednesday, September 2, 2020, Fayose has recalled how he warned Nigerians prior to the price increment.

The former Ekiti governor while reacting to the increment on his media handle, noted that the decision was taken when other countries were busy adopting measures and strategy to curb the spread and effect of COVID-19 lockdown on their citizens. Hence, the increment in petrol price is unjustified.
