Four policemen have lost their lives following an attack on a police station by a gang of unknown gunmen.

According to the report, the assailant invaded the Agwa Divisional Police headquarters in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State and began shooting sporadically.

According to a police source, the incident triggered tension in the entire local government.

The source also said that some vehicles were burnt in the station and some other valuable items were destroyed.

“There was an attack in the station and we learned that about four officers were killed. The total damage cannot be ascertained at the moment,” he said.
