The Jigawa State Government on Wednesday ordered the immediate closure of all schools across the state.
The State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse

Danzomo explained that security threat was the main reason behind the closure of the school.
He said it is not peculiar to Jigawa State but all the states, especially the border states.
The state government on Wednesday gave a directive for the immediate closure of all primary and secondary schools without further delay.
He further directed parents of students in boarding secondary schools to go and pick their children.
