General Council Chairman of the WTO, David Walker, through a released statement on Friday said that the candidates expertise, high professional and personal qualities are highly respected and valued by all members.

The second phase of consultations is to begin on the 24th of September and run until October 6, after which two final candidates will be announced by the WTO and the emergence of a new leader on the 7th of November.
