LG Polls: Youths Passes Vote of No Confidence on Council Chairman in Delta

Aggrieved youths under the aegis of Ogbe-Ijoh Youth Council, Ogbe-ijoh Warri Kingdom in Warri South West Local Governement Area, Delta state have passed a vote of no confidence on the Council Chairman, Hon Taiye Tuoyo.

The protest which was carried out on behalf of other youths in the Council, was a direct resolves over a second term ambition by Hon Touyo.

President of the Ogbe-Ijoh Youth Council, Comrade James Etimadimene vehemently stated that the entire youths of the kingdom which is mostly consisted of supporters of the PDP, have unanimously agreed to withdraw their support for Tuoyo owing largely to his disuniting tactics in the Council.

Comrade James emphasized that a thorough research around the Warri South West Council has revealed that Hon Tuoyo has persistently maltreated both the Ijaws and Itsekiris in his reign.

Secretary General of the Ogbe-ijoh Youth Council, David Company further reiterated his President’s stance, insisting that Touyo can never be accepted and voted in for a second time.

He stated that while they are not against candidates from the Itsekiris, Hon Tuoyo will never be allowed to be at the helm of affairs of the Local Government Area for a second tenure.

They pleaded with the Peoples Democratic Party to be attentive to the plight of the youths by projecting a fresh reliable, Godfearing, youths loving and unity building candidate, and not Hon. Taiye Tuoyo that has completely destroyed the beauty of the LGA.

They however swore to fight the candidature of Hon Tuoyo if the PDP imposes his second term ambition on the people.

Hon Taiye Tuoyo has long been dragged by constituents in Warri South West Local Government Area with some quarters calling for his resignation at some point.
