Large crowds welcomed the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress for Burutu Constituency 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly for the 2023 elections, Amb. Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala, when he consulted across Ward 11.
The consultative train of Alapala visited Ogulagha, Youbebe, Sokebolou, Yokiri, Obotobo I and Obotobo II communities in the ward.
The former APC Youth Leader of Delta State described the visit as a mere parley with his in-laws, saying a larger entourage of the party will return when the campaigns properly begin.

Addressing the communities at different intervals, Alapala said it was only wise he informed his in-laws of his involvement in the race even as a family.
He said;
“I sincerely appreciate you my in-laws for the great show of love today. You have shown me that indeed I am your son in-law.
“I have only come today to inform you as my in-laws that I am in the race for the Burutu Constituency 1 seat in the coming election.
“It is only wise I properly inform you as my family that I have secured the ticket to contest the seat under the APC. I assure you this is not a campaign.
“When the time is due, a larger campaign train will be back. However, I solicit your blessings and empowerment for the contest.”
The people, who welcomed Alapala in their numbers, commended him over his thought to consider them worthy allies on his ambitions.
They assured him of their willingness to support him first as a family and as a people.
Alapala was accompanied by his Campaign Director, Sir Theodore Ezonfade, Napoleon Kenerekedi – Delta APC Youth Leader, Rebuen Selekeowei Dubasuode – Burutu APC Youth Leader, Ebiere Kiyagha, Cyprain Tonfagha and Tare Ekemieyefa.
Others are Mark Otutufegha, Hon. Edmund Forcados, Engr. Freeborn Owolo, and Eric Akari.
