Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has resigned his position as Chairman of the Governors Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Daily Report earlier reported that the former presidential aspirant will resign to make room for a Southern Governor to fill the position.

“The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, will also resign shortly as the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum,” a source had said.

Following Tambuwal’s resignation, an ally of Governor Nyesom Wike or himself would be expected to fill the role.
