Real Reason Atiku Picked Okowa Over Wike – Ayu

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu has explained the reason Atiku Abubakar picked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa ahead of Governor Nyesom Wike as running mate.

According to Ayu, humility and excellence in performance acted as the main reasons for Atiku’s decision.

Ayu stated this while speaking at the Northern Christian Youth Assembly Summit in Abuja, on Tuesday.

Ayu, Atiku and Wike have all been at loggerheads in recent times over disagreements.

While Wike insists for Ayu to resign his position for the party to achieve a structural balance, the National Executive Council last week past a vote of confidence on PDP National Chairman.

Also, Walid Jibrin resigned his position as Chairman Board of Trustees to give way for Adolphus Wabara.
