A 24-year-old South African lady, Simphiwe has died after she was reportedly ‘slapped’ by her father, Fannie Mtshali, during a heated argument on Saturday.
It was gathered that the 58-year-old man and his daughter had a confrontation around 11 pm at Mpumalanga in South Africa.
During the fight, Mtshali was said to have slapped his daughter in the face, causing her to collapse.

Authorities were alerted, but unfortunately, they arrived late as the young lady had already died.
The father, therefore, was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on September 19 for a formal bail application.
Reacting to the incident, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga noted he was saddened by the lady’s demise, adding that it was quite unexpected.
“While children should be raised to be disciplined, parents should avoid using violence.
Parents are responsible for protecting their children as well as their families.
Gender-Based Violence remains a pandemic, and we cannot turn a blind eye to this heinous scourge,” he said.
