A certain man from the Bokkos local government area of Plateau State has died after boasting that he can take nine bottles of Dry Gin alcoholic drink, aka “Ogogoro” without getting intoxicated.
Hafsat Abubakar, of the Conflict Mediation Mitigation Regional Council (CMMRC) Plateau Chapter, said the yet-to-be properly identified man had asked the seller of the local gin to give him 11 bottles of the brew.
The man had sworn that he would finish it without any trouble.

Meanwhile, after successfully gulping nine bottles, the man was unable to finish the remaining two, according to Abubakar who spoke with newsmen.
The said man vomited blood profusely from the nose, ears, and mouth and eventually gave died.
On seeing this, the seller reportedly packed up her wares and fled.
A passerby and hunter later sighted the dead man and alerted the villagers who took him for burial.
The deceased left behind a wife and five children.
