President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, swore in Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

The swearing-in ceremony, which took place shortly before the kick-off of this week’s Federal Executive Council meeting was witnessed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, ministers, other Justices of the Supreme Court, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and his Ondo State counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu amongst others

Recall that following the resignation of the outgone CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad, on health grounds, Justice Ariwoola took over in an acting capacity.
