BREAKING: Buhari Sacks Effiong Akwa, Orders Constitution of NDDC Board | Daily Report Nigeria

President Muhamadu Buhari has ordered the sacking of Effiong Akwa as the Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC).

Akwa’s sack was contained in a statement by the Director of Press, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Patricia Deworitshe, on Thursday.

No reason was given for the removal of the NDDC boss, who was appointed in October 2021.

The statement also noted that President Buhari has ordered the constitution of a new management team and Governing Board of the NDDC.

According to the statement, the Board nominees will be announced later.
