The National Broadcasting Commission has fined Arise TV for broadcasting a fake reports against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.
The NBC fined Arise TV the sum of N2m for breaching the broadcasting code.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that Arise TV haf apologised for the report which suggested that the Independent National Broadcasting Commission (INEC) was investigating Tinubu over an alleged criminal forfeiture of money on offenses bordering on narcotics and illicit drugs.

The sanction is coming on the heels of INEC’s denial of the report over the weekend.
