Nigerian music duo of Tems and Burna Boy have been nomiatef for the 65th annual Grammy Awards.

In a nomination list announced by the organizers on Tuesday, Tems was nominated alongside Future and Drake in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for the hit song, ‘Wait for U’.

‘Wait For U’ was also nominated in the Best Rap Song category.

Real name Temilade Openiyi, Tems also received a nomination for her role in Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ album as it got nominated in the Album of the Year category.

On the other hand, Burna Boy was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category for his ‘Last Last’ single.

The ‘African Giant’ also received a nomination for his ‘Love, Damini’ album in the Best Global Music Album category.

The 65th Grammy awards is scheduled for Los Angeles on February 5, 2023.

Beyonce received the most nomination a with 9 in total, followed by rapper Kendrick Lamar with eight, and pop diva Adele and balladeer Brandi Carlile tied at seven each.

Beyonce equaled her husband Jay-Z as the couple have both received 88 nominations each, the most in Grammys history.
