AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, The Governor of Kwara State, led other state officials to cut grass at Mount Carmel College in Ilorin on Saturday.
It was reported that the exercise was ahead of the resumption of school on Monday
AbdulRazaq, noted that his action was means to inspire the people to take care of any government facility located in their areas.

“The message here is to emphasize self-helps and community contributions to public projects. When government locates a project in your community, such a community should take ownership”.
“My being here is to send the signal that nobody is too big to be involved in community work; we need to help ourselves. It is really no big deal to make things work,” he said.
He arrived the school in company of the House of Assembly leader, Magaji Olawoyin and Chairman, Environmental Task Force, AbdulRazaq Jiddah with a cutlass to cut some grasses in the school.
The governor also used it as an opportunity to inspect part of the school affected by the recent rainstorm.
