Goncalo Ramos announced himself at the World Cup after replacing Cristiano Ronaldo in the Portugal starting XI against Switzerland .

The Benfica striker was given the nod ahead od Cristiano Ronaldo and he couldn’t have dreamt any better as he bagged his first hattrick in his first start for Portugal .

The youngster just announced his skill set in the grandest of all occasions as Portugal looks to move away from the Cristiano Ronaldo era .

Portugal put not just one , two but 6 past a helpless Switzerland who could only salvage a goal courtesy of Akanji.

Potugal looks to be firing on all cylinders at the moment, midfield technicians ,Bruno Fernandes and Bernado Silva put in a hardworking performance as the rest of the team were on the front foot.

Goncalo Ramos opened the scoring with a terrific strike from the near post and also a flick from a Diego Dalot cross.

Pepe powered in a header towards the end of the first half as the striker completed his hattrick with a tidy finish after being set up by Joao Felix.
