Man Rescued From Committing Suicide At Ikoyi Link Bridge In Lagos

A yet-to-be-fully-identified man has been rescued from committing suicide at the Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos state.

A team was reportedly deployed to save him after emergency responders got wind of the information.

Confirming the incident, Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyitolu, said the rescue operation was successful.

“The agency responders were able to convince, rescue the young man from his jump off point. He was later examined by the agency’s paramedics before being handed over to good Samaritans, Mr Odukoya and Mr Okanlawon, who have committed to ensure adequate therapy and psychological counseling for the victim,” He said.

The victim was learnt to be a native of Anambra state but resides in Ejigbo area of Lagos state, while he has been handed over to experts for proper counselling.
