The Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF), has congratulated foremost Niger Delta freedom fighter, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo over his conferment as ‘MARITIME MAN OF THE YEAR 2022’.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that Tompolo was bestowed with the honor on Monday January 9 by Maritime Media Limited, publishers of Shipping World during a ceremony at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.
In a statement jointly signed by Ozobo Austin and Tare Magbei, Acting Chairman and Secretary respectively, the IPF described the accolade as a well deserved one.

Using Tompolo’s impact on the recent increase in oil production, the Publishers noted that Tompolo had overtime proven himself a reputable contributor to the growth of the maritime sector in Nigeria.
The statement reads;
