The latest raid follows an earlier move by the DSS in seeking a court order to arrest Emefiele, who is currently out of the country for his annual leave.
The operatives stormed the CBN headquarters around noon on Monday with 20 vehicles filled with armed personnel.
The operatives also barred all staff of the bank from gaining access to Mr Emefiele’s office.
Meanwhile, a Federal High Court in Abuja had in December 2022, barred the secret service from arresting, inviting, or detaining Emefiele.
