Rio Ferdinand has suggested Aresnal will emerge English Premier League winners at the end of the season.

Rio said the Gunners “played like champions” during their exciting victory against Manchester United on Sunday.

Arsenal defeated the Red Devils at the Emirates Stadium thanks to goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka.

The Gunners, who have a game in hand, are now five points clear of second-placed Manchester City on the log.

Speaking on his show FIVE, Ferdinand Mikel Arteta’s side played with so much authority against Man United.

“You played like champions yesterday,” Ferdinand insisted, speaking to co-host Joel Beya, an Arsenal supporter.

“I was sitting there watching it with my two sons, and I turned to one and said, “Boy, these lots look like champions already with the way they’re playing”.

He added, “The telling factor for me was when they went one down”. There was zero panic, it was so calm. It was like, “We know we are going to get chances, we’re going to get back into it”, and they did.

“They were so calm and cool, composed and confident”. It made me sit back, and as soon as they scored the one, I thought, ‘They are going to win this’.

“They played with authority,” he said
