BREAKING: NBC Sanctions AIT, Channels, Arise TV Over Lekki Shootings | Daily Report Nigeria

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), has sanctioned three major broadcast stations namely; Arise Tv, African Independent Television (AIT) and Channels Televison, between 2 to 3million Naira over their alleged roles in inciting violence across the country.


The respective stations were accused of airing unverified images of the alleged controversial shootings on protesters in the Lekki Toll Gate of Lagos state on Tuesday, October 20.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has denied the alleged involvement in the Lekki Toll Gate Shootings as investigations are still ongoing to unravel the unforgettable incident.

The initial peaceful #EndSARS protests across the country on the long run was hijacked by hoodlums who have cause mayhem and chaos in major cities by destroying lives and properties.
