The Kwara State Police Command has apprehended 144 suspected looters connected with last Friday’s looting spree in Ilorin metropolis.

While parading the suspects before newsmen at the state Police Command Headquarters in Ilorin on Monday, October 26, Kwara Police Commissioner, Kayode Egbetokun, said that the apprehended looters were all caught with looted items in their possession.

Other items recovered includes vehicles and motorcycles which were used to transport the stolen items.

CP Egbetokun further advised those in possession of looted items to willingly surrender them to the police or any other security agencies in the state.

He assured that those who surrender them willingly will not be prosecuted, as they will be forgiven.
