35 Tractors, Other Items Returned By Looters In Adamawa

Following the Adamawa State Government ultimatum to looters to return all stolen items from the state within 12 hours, over 35 tractors, vehicles and customs fatigue have been recovered back from looters.

The items recovered had been carted away amidst the crisis erupted from the #EndSARS protests across the country against police brutality.

Confirming the development, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adeyanju, disclosed that 184 suspects were arrested for breaking and looting of several government and private warehouses, including other properties.

54 other suspects were also apprehended for curfew violation set by the state government.

CP Adeyanju in his words said;

“So far 35 tractors, 22 hand tractors, 28 hand tractors hoes, ejection sprayers, 142 bags of fertilizers among, others have been recovered” through the effort of the police and other sister security agencies.”

Other recovered items recovered according to CP Adeyanju includes nine (9) Vehicles and twelve (12) motorcycles.

CP Adeyanju also warned on buying of any looted items as anybody found culpable will be prosecuted.
