The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has begged for forgiveness from Lagos State residents for the maltreatment they have suffered over the years.

The development is coming less than a week to governorship and state assembly elections slated for March 18.

The LASTMA officials are threatened by the possibility of power changing hands in the state after the ruling All Progressives Congress lost the presidential election to Labour Party in the state.

Reports held that many voters were determined to vote out the ruling party.

The officials resorted to begging residents of the country’s commercial hub to forgive the agency for maltreating them over the years.

In viral video seen by Daily Report Nigeria, some LASTMA officials were captured dancing to the rhythm of a song.

It sang:

“ewe orijin laja, eni aba se ko firijin wa”, meaning “whoever we must have offended, please forgive us.”

Meanwhile, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been spotted performing duties similar to that of an usher in church.

At the close of service on Sunday at the Harvesters Church, Sanwo-Olu was seen shaking hands with members of his church while putting on a big smile.

The now viral video has since attracted varying reactions, with many describing it as one of the measures the governor hopes to win the votes of Lagosians ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
