Manchester City manger, Pep Guardiola has hailed Crystal Palace stars of Nigerian descent, Micheal Olise and Eberechi Eze, for their outstanding performances against his team on Saturday.

The 52-year-old Spanish tactician was full of praises for the Palace duo, who were gave City’s defense a whole lot of problems, but were unlucky to find the back of the net.

Haaland was on the score sheet with the only goal from the penalty spot in the 78th minute to give his side a 1-0 win after Olise brought down IIkay Gundogan.

Afterwards, Eze missed a goal-bound opportunity to salvage a point for the Eagles.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Pep said:

“My experience is that every time we come here it has been very tough. Always I have the feeling when we come here, we play really good thinking about how good they are. We always struggle because we want to score more goals.

“Everything pleased me, we missed the counterattack a bit. It is not easy, they defend six players in the box and Erling Haaland had two men marking him, Gundo [Ilkay Gundogan] had a man, it was a question of patience.”
