Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has lost his second term bid to Senator Aishat Binani of the All Progressives Congress.
Senator Aishat Binani, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC emerged winner of Saturdays governorship election in Adamawa State.
Binani was declared winner of the election after polling 409,909 votes ahead of the incumbent governor, Umaru Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party,who scored 406,617 votes.

Binani who currently represents Adamawa Central Senatorial District, has thus become the first female elected governor in the history of Nigerian politics.
Catholic Priest, Fr. Alia Wins Benue Governorship Election
A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has been declared winner of the governorship election in Benue State.
Alia, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared winner by the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, after polling 327, 962 votes ahead of PDP’s Titus Uba, who scored 171,223.
