Kenneth Okonkwo, the spokesman for the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council has commented on an alleged leaked phone conversation linked to his principal, Peter Obi.

The leaked phone conversation was said to be the voices of Obi, and the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo

It had insisted that the LP presidential candidate had feared that the election was a religious war.

The audio went on to claim that the cleric stated that he believed Obi’s assertion.

However, the spokesman of the party took to his social media to counter negative assumptions deduced so far from the clip.

Okonkwo claimed political criminals were trying to spin the conversation as if Obi was making a religious statement.

He said:

Political criminals are trying to spin the conversation as if Obi was making a religious statement.

“Our attention has been drawn to the publication of this audio tape of a private conversation between @peterobigregory and Bishop Oyedepo. It is not surprising that these political criminals are trying to spin the conversation as if Obi was making a religious statement.”
