Aaron Ramsdale Set to Join Newcastle United in Summer Transfer

Aaron Ramsdale

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale appears set to leave the club this summer, with a move to Newcastle United on the horizon.

Ramsdale, who joined Arsenal from Sheffield United for £24 million in 2021, quickly became the team’s first-choice keeper, making 78 appearances over his first two seasons.

However, his role was put into question after the loan signing of David Raya from Brentford.

This season, Aaron Ramsdale has seen limited opportunities, playing in only six Premier League games under Mikel Arteta.

With Raya expected to make his move to Arsenal permanent, the club is reportedly willing to entertain offers for Ramsdale, who still has two years remaining on his contract.

Newcastle has emerged as the frontrunner to secure Ramsdale’s services.

According to Sky Sports’ James Green, the 25-year-old goalkeeper has agreed to a deal to join St James’ Park.
