After nearly two years in custody, Abba Kyari, a suspended police chief, has been released from the Kuje Custodial Centre in Abuja.
Kyari’s arrest in February 2022 by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) was related to suspected involvement with a global drug network.
He was charged alongside four colleagues and two convicted drug traffickers, Chibunna Umeibe and Emeka Ezenwanne.
