The arrest of suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, has caused excitement among inmates at the Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja.
The inmates, most of which had personal encounters with the embattled former boss of the, Intelligence Response Team of the Inspector-General of Police, wondered how a top officer ended up at the Kuje Prison with them.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that the once celebrated super cop was remanded at the Kuje Prison on Monday by trial judge, Justice Emeka Nwike.

Kyari is facing trial alongside four other police officers, who were denied bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the Federal capital Territory.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in its charge accused Kyari and his accomplices of conspiracy, obstruction and dealing in cocaine worth 17.55kg.
Justice Emeka Nwike, ordered the NDLEA to transfer the Abba Kyari and other defendants to prison custody, after denying them bail.
The court said the NDLEA had presented sufficient proof before it to warrant the bail refusal of Kyari and his co-defendants – Sunday Ubia, Simon Agirgba, and John Nuhu, who are all former members of the defunct IRT
