Abductors of UNIABUJA Staff Demand N300m Ransom

The Kidnappers of the six persons that were kidnapped from the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) staff quarters have demanded N300 million ransom.

On Tuesday, Obansa Joseph, a professor of economics, two of his children, and three other persons were abducted when gunmen invaded the staff quarters of the university.

The abductors were said to have demanded N50 million for each person that was abducted.

The school spokesman, Habib Yakoob, confirmed the development to TheCable.

He said: “They are asking for N300 million collectively. I’m not aware if they were given a deadline to pay or not,”
