Abductors Release DELSU Final Year Student After N3m Ransom Payment | Daily Report Nigeria

Chris Oghojafor, a final year student of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, who was kidnapped last week Friday, has been released.

Oghojafor, a student in the Department of Industrial Chemistry,
was released after N3 million was paid as ransom.

His abductors had earlier demanded N50 million as ransom to secure his release, but the sum was cut down to N3 million after several pleas from family members.

His release was confirmed by his father J. Oghojafor, who is a legislative aide to Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

“My son, Chris Oghojafor, who was kidnapped in Abraka by Fulani herdsmen, since on Friday evening, has just been released now. Glory be to God,” the father said.

Reports say the victim was released near Ugolo-Orogun by the railway in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.
