Abia Angels, a top team in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), has announced the termination of David Chibuzo Silva’s appointment as Sporting Director.

This decision follows a disappointing performance in the 2025 NWFL season, where the club finished fourth with 23 points from 14 matches.

Although the exact reason for Silva’s departure was not shared, the club confirmed that he is no longer authorized to represent Abia Angels.

A statement released on the club’s official social media clarified the situation and informed stakeholders of the leadership change.

Management Update

The announcement was made on Abia Angels’ official channels, stating Silva’s removal is effective immediately.
