Wike offered to pay the medical fees of the victims.
The Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike has sent his condolences to the victims and casualties of the recent Abuja explosion.
This comes after the gruesome explosion which happened in Karu, Abuja on Wednesday, March 19.
Daily Report Nigeria reported a handful of casualties, injured people, and destroyed properties.
In recent news, Nyesom Wike has directed the effective treatment of all injured in the blast, while directing the Mandate Secretary on Health and Environment, Dr Adedolapo Fasawe to see to the execution of his order.
He said this through a statement released by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka.
He said;
On my directive, the Mandate Secretary on Health and Environment, Dr Adedolapo Fasawe was in Asokoro District Hospital, till today’s morning and she was among the medical personnel who attended to the 17 casualties brought to the hospital.

“She briefed me that after initial stabilization, seven of the 17 casualties received were referred to National Hospital, six with minor injuries were treated successfully, three with severe burns and inhalation and crush injuries are currently receiving treatment. However, one of the casualties with third degree burns passed away while being resuscitated,”
He also asked all motorists to adhere to all traffic rules, and heavy duty vehicle drivers to always be cautious and adhere strictly to speed limits while driving
