Activists Sues For Justice as Delta Community Election Turns Bloody

Timipre Ndoni, the President of Ojobo Liberation Movement (OLM), has called for justice to prevail after chaos greeted the community on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the election to determine a new Amananawei of Ojobo community turned bloody after supporters of one of the aspirants fired gunshots into an opposition camp.

The incident left at least two persons dead, many injured and several properties destroyed.

Reacting to the incident, Ndoni in a statement on Tuesday, called on security agencies to fish out perpetrators of the chaos for them to face the wrath of the law.

While commending the efforts of First HRM Dr. Ekioemi Oweiagbe John, Gbesa 1, The Ebenanaowei of Operemor Kingdom, Funkekeme Solomon and the Burutu Council Chairman, Godknows Angele finding immediate resolution for the for the ugly incident, Ndoni said;

“I call on state security agencies to launch into action and fish out the culprits responsible for the killing of two sons in Ojobo community in order for them to face justice.”

The activist also condoled with the families their loss, while urging to leave judgment to the law.

He further called for indigenes of the community to embrace peace and unity at all times.
