Popular Nollywood actor Jerry Williams has reportedly been arrested at his residence in Delta State by operatives of the Edo State Police Command, allegedly led by Nwafor Franklin, popularly known as Izutech.

The incident occurred on the morning of Monday, July 21, 2025. Fellow actor Stanley Ontop raised the alarm in a video posted to Instagram, urging the public to hold Izutech responsible for Jerry’s safety.

According to Stanley, Izutech forcefully took Jerry to Benin City with the help of some police officers. He also alleged that Izutech has been withholding N2.5 million paid by movie producers who wanted to cast Jerry in their films.

Captioning his video, Stanley wrote:
“Izu went to Jerry Williams’ house in the early hours of today, 21st July 2025, and bundled him to Benin with the help of some Nigeria police. Let it be known that Jerry Williams is in Izu’s custody. If anything happens to Jerry, Izu should be held responsible.”

This development comes just days after Jerry Williams made a much-anticipated return to Nollywood following several months in rehabilitation for substance abuse.
