Nollywood actress Sharon Okpamen passed away on Sunday, nearly a month after giving birth to her second child.
The heartbreaking news was shared by her colleague Stanley Ontop in an Instagram post on August 24, 2024.

Ontop wrote, “Nollywood actor and producer Sharon Okpamen has sadly passed away. It’s a tragic day for Nollywood and the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, has left a huge void in the industry. May her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen @sharonokpamen.”
Sharon had announced the birth of her second child on July 31 on her Facebook page. Reports indicate she fell into a coma following childbirth and, unfortunately, did not recover.
