The Chief Spokesman for the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign, Festus Keyamo, has raised an alarm over plots to rig out the party’s governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Aishat Binani.
According to Keyamo, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are under pressure from the incumbent governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, to change the result of Fufore Local Government Area (LGA) to reduce Binani’s clear lead in the election.
Kayema made the allegation in a series of tweets via his Twitter account on Sunday night, adding that the Commissioner of Police in the state, the State Director of the Department of State Service (DSS), and the Resident Electoral Commissioner are all under pressure from the governor to announce the tampered result of Fufore LGA.

He claimed that more than 11,000 votes have been deducted from Binani, stressing that the situation in Adamawa with the APC candidate is unacceptable.
Keyamo, therefore, called on the electoral umpire to stop the alleged rigging now, adding that Binani is the 1st woman to come this far to the governorship seat.
He wrote:
“What’s happening in Adamawa to Sen. Binani is UNACCEPTABLE. Reports are that officials of @inecnigeria are under pressure by Gov. Fintiri to change the result of Fufore LGA to reduce her clear lead in the Gov. race. This is the 1st woman to come this far! INEC MUST HALT THIS NOW!
“Reports are that the Comm. of @PoliceNG in Adamawa & the State Director, DSS are right now with the INEC REC at the Collation & are all under pressure by Gov. Fintiri to announce the tampered result of Fufore LGA by which more than 11,000 votes have been deducted from Sen. Binani.”
