The African Democratic Congress has criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress, accusing it of undermining Nigeria’s democracy through the passage of the controversial Electoral Act Amendment Bill.
Reacting on Wednesday, ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi said the level of impunity displayed by the APC was troubling, warning that it should not mark “the death of our democracy.”

He alleged that despite controlling nearly all state governorships, the APC remains apprehensive about holding free and fair elections.
Abdullahi further urged Nigerians to resist any form of tyranny, citing historical precedents.
“Almost all the governors are in their party, yet they are afraid of a free and fair election. But Nigerians will never surrender to tyranny. We have seen this before,” he said.
