Adeleke Ademola Biography
Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke is a Christian Nigerian businessman and politician who served as a senator that represented the Osun-west senatorial district between 2017 and 2019.
He is currently the winner of the 2022 Osun state governorship election under the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party after defeating the incumbent governor, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola who defeated him (Adeleke Ademola) four years ago. He won the election with a Christian-Christian ticket.
He was born on the 13th of May, 1960, and is 62 years old.

Ademola Adeleke is a very lively and cheerful person who is known for dancing in public earning him the moniker ‘Dancing Senator’.
Although he was born to a Muslim father, he is a Christian by religion.
Early Life/Education
Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke was born to the popular and influential Adeleke family from Ede in Ede Local Government Area of Osun State as their third and last child.
His father, Raji Ayoola Adeleke was a Muslim Senator, the Balogun of Ede land in Osun State, and the leader of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) while Nnena Esther Adeleke, an Igbo-Christian, is his mother.
Adeleke started his basic education at the Methodist Primary School in Surulere, Lagos State, before moving to Old Oyo State and enrolling at the Nawarudeen Primary School in Ikire.
Before moving to the United States, he completed his secondary education at Ede Muslim Grammar School after moving from The Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School, Ede, which was also in the former Old Oyo State.
When he left Nigeria to continue his studies, he moved to the US to join his two other older brothers.
In the United States, he began his higher education at Jacksonville State University in Alabama, where he specialized in criminal justice and minored in political science.
He returned to school and enrolled at Atlanta Metropolitan State College in the United States after much controversy surrounded his educational background.
From Atlanta Metropolitan State College, he earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice in 2021.
Family
Adeleke Ademola is happily married to Mrs. Titilola Adeleke who is also an eminent businessman and self-made leader. They have three children- two boys, and one girl-which are a blessing to them.
Their names are Adebayo Adeleke (B-Red), Sina Adeleke (Sina Rambo), and Adenike Adeleke.
Ademola Adeleke has two elder brothers, Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke and Dr. Adedeji Adeleke who is the father of David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, a Nigerian Singer.
Business Career
Between 1985 to 1989, Ademola served as a service contractor for the Quicksilver Courier Company in Atlanta, Georgia, in the US. From 1990 to 1994, he served as vice president of Origin International LLC, an Atlanta, Georgia, US-based manufacturer of flavors and fragrances.
From 1992 to 1999, he was an executive director of Guinness Nigeria Plc, where General Theophilus Danjuma was one of his fellow directors.
From 2001 to 2016, he served as the group executive director of Pacific Holdings Limited, a business owned by his brother Adedenji.
Political Career
Adeleke began his political career in 2001 alongside his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, but was not well-known in politics at the time. He belonged to the All Progressives Congress until April 2017, when he switched to the People’s Democratic Party.
Following the passing of his brother the previous senator of Osun West, he ran in the Osun West 2017 by-election and won under the People’s Democratic Party, serving from 2017 to 2019 as a senator for the Osun West Senatorial District.
He was later succeeded by Senator Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo.
He ran in the July 23, 2018, gubernatorial by-election and won as the PDP candidate for governor of Osun State.
He was proclaimed the winner of the Osun State governorship election on September 22, 2018. However, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) ruled the vote to be inconclusive and set a new election date for September 27, 2018.
On September 27, 2018, the state had the second round of voting, and Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, the APC candidate, was proclaimed the victor.
Adeleke denounced the outcome, calling the election a “coup.”
On 22 March 2019, an Abuja-based tribunal declared Adeleke the election’s winner but the Supreme Court later confirmed Gboyega Oyetola as the genuine winner of the Osun State 2018 gubernatorial election on the 5th of July, 2019.
Ademola Adeleke, also known as the Dancing Senator, won the Osun 2022 governor’s race on his second attempt, unseating incumbent governor Oyetola.
Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the returning officer, announced the results on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the INEC Collation Center in Osogbo. He stated that Adeleke received 403,371 votes, defeating incumbent governor Gboyega Oyetola, the APC candidate, who received 375,027 votes.
Ademola Adeleke will be sworn in and assume office on the 27th of November 2022 with his deputy Kola Adewusi supporting him.

According to Adeleke Ademola, he is a serial entrepreneur who started multiple businesses without the aid of his family.
One of such businesses is Origin International Limited based in the US, which is involved with the production of fragrance and flavor for the food and beauty industry, which he co-founded with his friend and the business was his major break as it gave him a lot of money.
Another source of wealth was his courier service firm in the US that won a major courier contract, his appointment as an Executive Director of Pacific Holdings, and also an Executive Director of Guinness Nigeria Limited where he was involved in the immense growth of the company.

Corrupt Cases/Allegations
Governor Adeleke Ademola has been accused of examination malpractice but was later contradicted when a witness said that he was never seen around the examination ground during NECO at the venue of Ojo Aro community grammar school held on the 20th of June, 2017.
He has also been accused of certificate forgery as his records didn’t match with the school’s record causing controversies about his educational qualifications.
