I thank the PDP for the opportunities given to me for my elections as a Senator (representing Osun West) and as Governor of Osun State under the PDP.”

A top source within the PDP, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the announcement could be made “very soon,” likely before December 10.

The Accord Party has reportedly committed to raising Adeleke’s profile openly and providing him with the party’s governorship ticket. This move comes as the state prepares for the 2026 gubernatorial elections.

Former Osun Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, had previously praised the Accord Party for fairness, noting it as a credible alternative to other parties.

He indicated that any move he makes alongside Adeleke would depend on the party’s principles and values.

With the Accord Party now backing him, Adeleke is poised to launch his campaign for a second term in office, signalling a new chapter in Osun State politics.
