Adeyeye Adeola, a Nigerian chef, has began a 150-hour cook-a-thon to on a remarkable culinary journey to break Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon for an individual.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Chef Adeola’s cook-a-thon started on Friday, June 30, 2023, in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State and is expected to end on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
The latest attempt to break the Guinness World Record for a cooking marathon is coming just weeks after another Nigerian chef, Adeparusi Damilola, also known as Chef Dammy completed a 120-hour cook-a-thon in Ekiti State.
The 26-year-old student of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, completed her cook-a-thon after Hilda Baci completed her own 100-hour cooking marathon.

Hilda Baci: Erigga Plans to Enter Guinness Book of Record
Also known as Effiong Bassey, Hilda Baci currently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon after the body pegged her attempt at 93 and 11 minutes.
Hilda Baci’s cooking marathon started on Thursday, May 11 and ended Monday, May 15, wherein she cooked over 100 pots of delicacies.
If Chef Adeola completes her 150-hour cook-a-thon and gets confirmed, she will overtake Hilda Baci and set a new world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
