  • Adidas LATC gifted 200 footballs to Lagos schools, giving boys and girls an equal shot at playing the game they love.

  • It’s more than a donation ; it’s a boost of hope, confidence, and community.

  • With every kick, these kids are chasing dreams.

Adidas LATC are stepping up for the next generation of athletes in Lagos—and it’s more than just a PR move.

The global sportswear giant, together with their Nigerian partner LATC, donated 200 adidas footballs to 20 schools across the state.

It’s a gesture rooted in purpose: to support youth development, level the playing field for girls and boys, and bring life back into grassroots football.

Adidas LATC partnered with the Lagos State Sports Commission to make the donation count.

The footballs went straight to the students not shelves—so kids could kick-start their dreams.

Every one of those 20 schools received an equal number of footballs for their male and female teams.

In a country where access to sports can still be uneven, Adidas LATC are sending a loud and clear message—every child matters.

Whether boy or girl, everyone deserves a chance to play, to grow, and to dream bigger.

To officially hand over the donation, Dave Thomas, the CEO of adidas Global Emerging Markets, paid a visit to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and presented a symbolic football.

That moment didn’t just tick a box—it showed that Adidas LATC are serious about being part of Nigeria’s grassroots sports story.

> “Sport has the power to shape the future,” an adidas spokesperson said.

“This donation is more than equipment; it’s an investment in the dreams, health, and leadership potential of young boys and girls across Lagos.”

LATC’s Chief Strategy Officer, Kingsley Oko, doubled down on that vision.

He made it clear that this move is about much more than football—it’s about building the whole child.

“School sports is a powerful tool for a complete education. This donation helps children become better athletes—and more confident, healthier, focused individuals.”

The Lagos State Sports Commission couldn’t be more on board.

They applauded the initiative for pushing grassroots sports to the next level while promoting gender balance where it matters most—at the foundation.

At the heart of it all, this isn’t just about supplying gear.

Adidas LATC are helping communities grow stronger, giving kids the tools to believe in themselves, and hopefully, shaping a brighter future—one kick at a time.
