A former Special Assistant to the Delta State Government on Political Affairs, Hon. Adidi Preboye has declared his intentions to contest the Burutu Council Chairmanship election.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Adidi made an official declaration for the much-coveted office on Monday before the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Obotebe/Burutu Ward 10, his own ward.
Declaring his ambition, the frontline aspirant cited his robust experience over the years as an astute follower of notable leaders in the council.
In seeking the support of the Ward 10 leadership, Adidi expressed readiness to remain resolute in his ambition until the end of the race.

Quizzed on what his mandate for the people is, Adidi promised a transformational agenda for the entire local government if voted into office.
Responding, Chief Julius Takeme, the Delta South PDP Chairman ‘thumbed up’ the aspirant for ‘declaring his intentions on time’, and charged him to continue ‘in this might.’
On his part, erstwhile Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Franc Enekorogha declared support for Adidi’s ambition on behalf of the entire Ward.
The former House of Representatives member further charged all and sundry to put hands on deck towards supporting Adidi’s ambition.
The aspirant’s entourage consisted of Dcn. Dr. Andrew Megbele, Chairman PDP Grand Alliance, Delta State, Engr. Atuduhor Fasa, Hon. Owo Pereotubo, and Albert Edumogiren, a former Special Assistant on environment to ex-governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Adidi is also a former Minority Leader of the Burutu Legislative Arm and once served as an Assistant Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Burutu.
The Delta Local Government Elections are expected to be held within the first quarter of 2024. The polls would be conducted by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC.
