Nollywood star Adunni Ade has opened up about her deep admiration for veteran actor Ramsey Nouah, revealing that he played a pivotal role in her decision to relocate to Nigeria and pursue a career in acting.
During an appearance on the Hip TV program Trending, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Adunni shared how a conversation with Nouah gave her the encouragement she needed to leave her modeling career in America and take a leap into Nollywood.
“He was the one who gave me confirmation to move to Nigeria,” Adunni recalled. “I met him before I came, and I told him about my goals and aspirations. He gave me a great pep talk, and I decided to move.”

Despite moving to Nigeria in 2011, Adunni Ade did not get the chance to work with Ramsey Nouah until much later. She explained that during a film festival, she casually exchanged pleasantries with him, not knowing that the interaction would lead to a major opportunity.
“The next day, I got a call from the producer, Chris, who’s a close friend of Ramsey. He said, ‘Adunni, what did you give Ramsey to eat? Ramsey just cast you.’ I had goosebumps. It was such a joy to finally work with him.”
Adunni described her experience on set with Nouah as surreal, calling him a phenomenal human being and praising his work ethic. She also hinted at working with him again on an upcoming project, though she kept the details under wraps.
Since moving to Nigeria, Adunni Ade has become a prominent figure in Nollywood, landing her first role in the 2013 Yoruba-language film ‘You or I.’ She has since appeared in over 250 movies across both English and Yoruba cinema.
